Work experience #4

Sick of these posts yet???? (i ammmmm)
But i have to do them, so there.

Almost half way through my work experience!
It got a little dull earlier this week with lack of photoshopping, which i enjoy.
So i just started doing my own again. (because i'm a rebel yeahh?)

well more of my posts have been published! and most of them i have done without and direction from my boss, so basically making up shit is gooood.
And maybe i don't have a bad eye for styling?? even if 80% of everything i look at is from topshop.

Talking of topshop. i finally caved and bought a few bits there... but it was only £33 so not life threatening haha.

I have also been updating my vegan blog! and doing some research on vegan make-up! fun times!

White Weddings and shoe coveting...

So my mom got married on saturday! Which was made more exciting by the ridiculous snow we've had!

The lucky man was Tim (the guy to the side of the wheelchair).

So for the wedding I made about 130 cupcakes (the night before....)
They ended up being decorated with fresh strawberries but i was unable to take a photo before they were taken away...

and my dress! (the day before....)
Because there is nothing like a good old panic right??!
I bought new shoes for the event! (any excuse)
These wonderful wedge rubber Melissa brogues! eeeeeeeee!
Despite the fact I was wearing them for 12hrs, they were moderatly comfortable!

But now I want, no, NEED these:
Damn melissa shoes....*saves pennies*
all in all it was a wonderful wedding and I didn't die of hypothemia or anything, exciting!
Hopefully My mom and Tim are going to have a good long marrage and maybe buy me melissa shoes for xmas?? Please? :)

Teacup Tattoos, eyebrows and glass teacups

I need one of these for my gin and tonic.
I can't think of a better way to get smashed than with a glass teacup!
I mean in an ideal world i'd have a set of them and a glass teapot to mix cocktails in!
Maybe for christmas? :) Anyways, a few days ago i went and got my three teacup tattoos!
I got them done in Skin art tattoo studio in Taunton (somerset)
Mark and Rob are the two tattoo artists there, mark did the umbrella two years ago with awesome shading.
This time i had Rob to do the cups! I was very happy with how they were done, the colours used are very vivid and once i have the rest of the sleeve done they are going to look epic ^.^
This is the only angle where all three can be seen, but once they have healed i will get close up shots of them.
Whilst being tattooed i was offered (and accepted) tea and got to chat to rob and mike?? (who's started an apprentiship) So it was a great experience and i didn't feel nervous at all.
Which is a hugeee plus.
Hahahaha, so recently i have been playing with my hair more and curling my fringe, meaning i can (for like the first time in yearrrs) see my eyebrows! so i buckled down and watched shitloads of tutorials on eyebrow shape :p
and i finally have decent eyebrows +facial emotion! hahaha
Sad eyebrows! mwahaha
Also i stopped wearing pencil eyeliner (both black and white) Just using a thin line of liquid on my top eyelids.
It looks much tidier and actually makes my face look less tired :p haha.

Vintage finds

So yesterday i dragged my mom to the carboot sale, despite her thinking it would rain, therefore a bad turnout of sellers.
But there was no rain. And a lot of sellers!
I was looking mainly for things on ships, old maps, books on the sea, ect. For my uni project "ill lit ships" (named after a blaqk audio song)

What i found however was much MUCH better.

I have been looking for a typewriter for ages now, it's just one of those thing's i'd love to own, because i love to write, and i love vintage things.

Not only did i find alot of working, perfectly conditioned typewriters, but i found one with a carrycase (it's a junior petite) its TURQUOISE!
it was £5.00
all it needs is a new ink ribbon as the current one has dried out.

eep! it's going to look so cute in my uni room on my desk....

Also my mom found a huge vintage suitcase for £2.50, i found a miniture (A5 size) one for £1 and the book, an old bible dating back to the 1800's for £1 also!

I also found this bag for £1

So all in all an EPIC trip! Though no one had anything on ships...boo!

Beauty killer

I think i wear too much make up, i mean i have no problem with it, but lol, there is alot...
List:
-Bio oil
-tweezers to fix eyebrows
-Foundation mousse with sponge
-eyebrow pencil
-brown shadow and fine brush (for eyebrows)
-sheer powder with brush
-blusher with brush
-black eyeliner
-white eyeliner
-white eyeshadow
-blue eyeliner
-blue eyeshadow
-black liquid eyeliner
-black mascara
-(not pictured) lip liner
-lipstick

and i put that on my face everyday, even when not going out the house...i hate to look at myself without make-up on, it's not even vanity, i have body dysmorphia, so i can't see what i really look like, i distort myself in my head, so without make up i get paranoid and start to pick at my face and can do it for hours, damaging my skin. It's a crap disorder!

Anyway, i wore this today, lol i look grumpy as hell but i like the setting/colours...

I went to town and had lunch with my mom! which was nice, and i got some red shoes for £2
yay! ^.^

Also i realised how fun it can be to food shop on a budget! I think i will make it my plan to spend less from now on on things i know i don't need, then i can save for other things.
